Toshiba’s MKx001GRZB series of SSDs has won the Grand Prize for Excellence in Energy Efficiency and Conservation from the Japan Energy Conservation Center because of its 13,800 IOPS per Watt rating. It is available in three capacities namely 100 GB, 200 GB and 400 GB and utilizes a 6 GB/s SAS interface. The maximum sequential read speed is at 512 MB/s and write speed is at 230 MB/s with 4k random read/write IOPS of 90,000 and 17,000 respectively.
Inside the drive is Toshiba’s very own 32 nm SLC NAND flash memory. The Mean Time Between Failure for the MKx001GRZB SAS 6 GB/s SSD is 2 million hours with a warranty of five years.
