The Gmonster3 XV2 series from Photofast is currently unavailable outside the Asian market. The XV2 drives are all SATA 3 6Gbps compatible and offer speeds approaching 500MB/s. They are available in the capacities 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB that all use multi-level cell (MLC) NAND flash modules. Photofast claims sequential read/write capabilities of up to 500MB/s (read) and 450MB/s (write), making the drives some of the fastest on the market.
As the drives are said to utilize a Marvell controller, this would make them comparable to Intel’s 510 series and Micron’s C400/Crucial m4 series. Other than the manufacturer’s own listing and specifications, not much information is currently available on these SSDs. There is likely some difference in performance between the different capacities in the series.
