PX M2P

The Plextor M2P SATA 6Gb/s SSD series provides best-in-class performance with sequential read and write speeds of up to 500 MB/s and 440 Plextor PX M2P SSDMB/s respectively. This SSD also boasts of up to 70,000 read and 65,000 write IOPS in random mode. The Plextor M2P is powered by True Speed, an exclusive technology, which enables the M2P SSD to sustain optimum performance and consistent read and write speeds, even after continuous use.

True Speed is a technology that maintains the high transfer speed rate of the solid state drive. It aims to maintain original performance levels for the longest time minus the severe write speed degradation that happens with other SSDs. Along with the power of advanced firmware and hardware, True Speed ensures that the SSD remains at full potential even after prolonged usage.

The Plextor M2P SSD features server-grade controller chip with support for SATA III 6Gb/s interface and Toshiba Toggle NAND flash . Other features include Instant Restore, Global Wear Leveling, and Bad Block Management.

Overall the Plextor PX-M2P brings a lot to the table highlighted by Toshiba Toggle NAND, this first time we’ve seen it used in an SSD powered by a Marvell processor. Plextor also offers custom firmware and True Speed software to improve steady-state performance, and delivers reliability testing generally not found in consumer SSDs.
