SSDNow V100

Kingston’s SSDNow V100 series of solid state drives includes four SSDs with capacities of 32 GB, 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB. This SATA 3.0 Gbps drive can achieve read speeds of 250 MB/s for all models except the 32 GB variant (which can only reach a maximum speed of 160 MB/s) and write speeds of 230 MB/s, 230 MB/s, 145 MB/s and 70 MB/s according to variants arranged according to capacity.

The V100 is a viable option for a hard disk drive replacement. The performance of the drive in benchmark tests indicate that it is well suited to fit the needs of anyone in the field of computer graphics, video and games. Its ability to withstand forces of up to 1500 G stems from the fact that it does not contain any mechanical parts. This is also the same reason why the V100 runs silently as it processes data.

The SSDNow V100 comes with a three-year warranty and a 24/7 technical support. Together with the SSDs package are cables, brackets and software that can be used to copy the user’s files. The Mean Time Between Failure of the SSDNow V100 is 1,000,000 hours.

Kingston’s V100 series is the SATA II (3 Gbps) predecessor to the manufacturers SATA III (6 Gbps) compatible V200, HyperX and HyperX 3K lineups.

legitreviews:

The Kingston SSD Now V100 offers solid performance at a competitive price and should be on the short list of SSDs to buy. With its included bundle and Kingston’s 24/7 support, it continues to be the bread and butter of their SSDNow lineup.

thessdreview:

Kingston Technology has successfully done something that we here at The SSD Review have been suggesting for some time now.  They have manufactured a product that is going to hit a home run for that large number of computer lovers who are looking to upgrade their present system but not sure where to turn.  In fact, they have responded to the biggest concerns plaguing SSD purchase and are introducing a larger capacity SSD available at a very competitive price and the Kingston SSDNow V100 series definitely has performance to boot.

expertreviews:

The V100 is fantastic value at just £1.21 per GB and makes an excellent upgrade to a mechanical hard disk.
