VisionTek mSATA solid state drives are available in capacities of 60 GB, 120 GB, 240 GB and 480 GB and have maximum sequential speeds of 540 MB/s and 425 MB/s for random read and write respectively. Its low 4k random aligned write access stands at 60,000 IOPS. It is one of the SSD’s that utilizes SF-2281 controller.
As a “SandForce-driven” solid state drive, the VisionTek mSATA has many features unique to such group. It supports RAISE, SMART and TRIM, depending on the operating system used. Besides the SF-2281 controller inside, the VisionTek mSATA uses asynchronous NAND flash modules. Other features include ECC and redundant storage data protection and an MTBF of 1,500,000 hours.
