Atlas from Mushkin is a mSATA solid state drive utilizing the SATA III 6 Gbps interface. The drive comes into three capacities, namely 60 GB, 120 GB and 240 GB. Maximum speed is achieved by the 240 GB model and is listed at 560 MB/s for sequential read and 530 MB/s for sequential write. The Mushkin Atlas is another “SandForce Driven” drive as it is powered by the SF-2281 controller.
Together with the SF-2281 are Toggle Mode NAND modules by Toshiba. This drive features Optimal Data Flow as well as support for TRIM. IOPS numbers is listed at 80,000. The Mushkin Atlas includes a three year warranty with a Mean Time Between Failure of 2,000,000 hours.
