SanDisk Ultra is the company’s weapon as it returns into the battle of SSDs. Its SATA II interface can deliver a read speed of up to 280 MB/s and sandisk ultra ssdwrite speed of  270 MB/s. The drive utilizes a Sandforce SF-1222 controller in collaboration with SanDisk’s own 32 nm Asynchronous ABL NAND Flash memory.

The Ultra SSD has a three year limited warranty. The drive can be bought in capacities of 60 GB, 120 GB and 240 GB. The 60 GB variant can withstand 40 TB of data written to it over its lifespan. The 120 GB and 240 GB are rated at 80 TB and 128 TB respectively. It consumes only 0.43 W of power during active time. This is very low especially when compared with a similar SATA II drive, Pyro, which consumes power at 2 W.
