X2

The X2 series of SSDs by Renice Technology are available at capacities of 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB. The difference between this solid state drive and that of the other SATA II drive by Renice, X3, is not that significant. Its maximum sequential read speed is 240 MB/s while its maximum write speed is 230 MB/s. The X2 has a SDRAM cache of 64 MB and has an IOPS at 4k random write of 10,000. Access time is average at 0.1 ms.

The complete aluminum housing of the X2 can withstand a force as strong as 1,500 G and vibrations peaking at 20 G. Power consumption is low at 2 W when active, but not the lowest one amongst SATA II SSDs. Data reliability is ensured through ECC of up to 16 bits per sector. SMART commands are supported as well as RAID, TRIM and NCQ. Static wear-leveling and dynamic bad block management is also supported. The Mean Time Between Failure of this drive is 1,500,000 hours and warranty is three years.
