The SX910 is the second product on AData’s Xtreme Performance Gear (XPG) line of SSDs, with the SX900 being the first. The SX910 utilizes the SATA III 6 GBps interface and is available at capacities of 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. NAND type used is MLC controlled by LSI Sandforce’s SF2281 controller. The SX910 joins the current group of SF2281 controlled SSDs like Patriot’s WildFire, Kingston’s HyperX, and Mushkin’s Chronos Deluxe.

Performance speeds of the SX910 are as follows: sequential read speed peaks at 550 MB/s and maximum sequential write speed is 530 MB/s. IOPS at random 4k read is 50,000 while IOPS at random 4k write is 85,000. The drive performs at this level while only consuming 1.2 W of power while active or 0.5 W while idle.

AData claims that the SX910’s ECC scheme can correct 55 bits for every 512 byte sector. It comes with a warranty of five years and a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of 1,000,000 hours. Originally a 2.5 inch drive, the SX910 comes with a 3.5 inch bracket adapter.
