The Accelerator Series is Corsair’s version of a solid state cache drive similar to OCZ’s Synapse. This SATA II 3.0 GB/s drive is available in three 
capacities, namely 30 GB, 45 GB and 60 GB. The maximum sequential read speed for the Accelerator SSD is 280 MB/s – a figure achieved by the 45 GB and 60 GB models. Similarly, the maximum sequential write speed of 260 MB/s can be reached by the two variants.
With a form factor of 2.5 inch and an included 3.5 inch bay, the Accelerator SSD can easily be placed alongside your hard drive to boost overall system performance. The smaller capacities make these drives relevant as cache drives only and should not really be considered in a single-drive configuration. The Accelerator’s silent operation will let you focus on your work. The drive can withstand a force of shock as strong as 1500 G and can work on temperatures zero to seventy degrees. The drive comes with a three-year warranty, SMART support and a Mean Time Between Failure of 2 million hours.
